My Story

Nnanyelugo Ezejiofor, a dual-qualified lawyer licensed to practice law in Nigeria and Canada, brings a wealth of legal expertise to our firm.

His academic journey commenced with a Bachelor of Law (BL) with honors from the University of Nigeria, followed by admission to the Nigeria Bar after completing his studies at the Nigeria Law School in Lagos in 2003.

Nnanyelugo started his legal career as a junior counsel at the Law Offices of Messrs. Rickey Tarfa & Co in Lagos, Nigeria as junior counsel. During his tenure there, he gained invaluable experience in litigation, corporate and commercial law practice as well as criminal law matters.

Continuing his pursuit of legal excellence, Nnanyelugo ventured overseas to the United Kingdom, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Law with a specialization in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London. Upon returning to Nigeria, he collaborated with the World Bank as Business Consultant, contributing his expertise to the sub-national doing business project.

Subsequently, Nnanyelugo worked as a Senior Associate at Springfield Solicitors in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for 3 years prior to his relocation to Canada. There, he completed the rigorous

National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) exams, before embarking on his articling journey at OBV Law Professional Corporation, based in Concord, Ontario in 2016.

In 2018, he further diversified his skillset by earning an Immigration Consultant Diploma from Anderson College of Business, Toronto, Ontario, after which he completed his practicum at Sahib Law Office in Etobicoke, Ontario.

In 2020, he joined Tzedek Law Office in Camrose, Alberta, where he successfully completed the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education (CPLED) programs and the Bar Admission Program, culminating in his call to the Bar in Alberta.

With fluency in both English and Igbo, Nnanyelugo has represented clients in various legal forums, from the Superior Courts of Record in Nigeria to the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench in Alberta. His practice spans corporate, criminal and family law matters.

Nnanyelugo takes immense pride in his Canadian citizenship and the privilege of assisting individuals with their legal needs. His personal journey as an immigrant and diverse work experiences have inspired his focus on criminal and immigration law.

Nnanyelugo is deeply committed to giving back to his community in Edmonton, where he volunteers as a dedicated lawyer at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre (ECLC). He also collaborates closely with the Edmonton Immigrant Services Association (EISA), offering valuable assistance to clients with various immigrant concerns.

Beyond the legal realm, Nnanyelugo embraces his leisure time with a passion for soccer, serving as an enthusiast and analyst. He enjoys both playing the sport and socializing with friends. His interests extend to reading and traveling, making him a well-rounded individual committed to both his professional and personal pursuits.

We're always looking for new and exciting opportunities.
